2024–25 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball team represented Louisiana Tech University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team, led by third-year head coach Talvin Hester, played their home games at Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, Louisiana as a members of Conference USA. Previous season The Bulldogs finished the 2023–24 season 22–10, 12–4 in C-USA play to finish in second place. They lost in the quarterfinals to Middle Tennessee of the C-USA tournament. Talvin Hester
Talvin Hester (born July 16, 1978) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs men's basketball team. Playing career Hester played a single season of college basketball at Dallas Christian College. Coaching career In 2002, Hester began his coaching career at North Lake College as an assistant coach, while also serving on the staff of the Texas Rim Rockers of the USBL. He'd move on to serve as an assistant coach at Texas Wesleyan, where he'd earn his degree, and a year later, would join the coaching staff at Texas College. Hester would get his start in the Division I ranks at Prairie View A&M on the staffs of both Darrell Hawkins and Byron Rimm II from 2005 to 2010, before moving on to San Jose State as an assistant. After two seasons with the Spartans, Hester would return to Texas and have two single-season stops at both Stephen F. The Portland State Vikings men's basketball team represents Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. The team was also once referred to as "The Park Block Bombers" in reference to the school's proximity to Portland's string of park blocks. The school's team competes in the Big Sky Conference. The Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 2024 NBA draft was the 78th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual NBA draft, draft. Unlike recent years, the 2024 draft took place over two nights. This was the first NBA draft to be held on multiple nights since the draft was shortened to two rounds, with earlier drafts consisting of as few as three or as many as twenty-one rounds prior to the current format's debut in 1989.
