The 2024–25 season was Liverpool F.C., Liverpool Football Club's 133rd season in their history and their 63rd consecutive season in the top flight of Football in England, English football. In addition to the 2024–25 Premier League, domestic league, the club also participated in the 2024–25 FA Cup, FA Cup, the 2024–25 EFL Cup, EFL Cup, and the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Champions League. This was Liverpool's first season under new head coach Arne Slot, who was announced as Jürgen Klopp's replacement on 20 May 2024. On 18 January 2025, Liverpool played their 6,000th competitive game since the club's inception in 1892, defeating Brentford F.C., Brentford 2–0 in the Premier League thanks to two late goals from substitute Darwin Núñez.
