2024–25 Liga 4 West Papua
The 2024–25 Liga 4 West Papua was the inaugural season of Liga 4 West Papua after the structural changes of Indonesian football league system, Indonesian football competition and serves as a qualifying round for the national phase of the 2024–25 Liga 4. The competition will be organised by the PSSI, West Papua Provincial PSSI Association. Teams Name changes * Mutiara Timur PB F.C., Mutiara Timur PB officially changed their name to Mutiara Timur Bhayangkara PB at the start of this season, under the stewardship of Indonesian National Police. Participating teams A total of 9 teams are competing in this season. Schedule The schedule of the competition is as follows. Group stage A total of 9 teams were drawn into two groups. Liga 4 (Indonesia)
Liga 4 ( English: ''League Four'') is the fourth-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The competition is organized by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and the first season starts in 2024. History From 2015 to 2023, there was no fourth-tier competition in the Indonesian football league system following the merger of Liga Nusantara with the First Division, which resulted in the formation of Liga 3 as the lowest tier of the national league structure. In 2024, PSSI restructured the league system and reintroduced the fourth-tier competition under the name Liga 4, following the elevation of Liga 3 to a semi-professional status operated by Liga Indonesia Baru.
