2024–25 Liga 4 North Sumatra
The 2024–25 Liga 4 North Sumatra was the inaugural season of Liga 4 North Sumatra after the change in the structure of Indonesian football league system, Indonesian football competition and serves as a qualifying round for the national phase of the 2024–25 Liga 4. The competition is organised by the PSSI, North Sumatra Provincial PSSI Association. Teams Participating teams A total of 15 teams are competing in this season. Personnel and kits Note: Flags indicate national team as has been defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players and coaches may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality. Schedule The schedule of the competition is as follows. First round The 15 teams will be drawn into 3 groups. The first round will be played in a home tournament format of round-robin tournament, single round-robin matches. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the #Second round, second round. Liga 4 ( English: ''League Four'') is the fourth-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The competition is organized by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and the first season starts in 2024. History From 2015 to 2023, there was no fourth-tier competition in the Indonesian football league system following the merger of Liga Nusantara with the First Division, which resulted in the formation of Liga 3 as the lowest tier of the national league structure. In 2024, PSSI restructured the league system and reintroduced the fourth-tier competition under the name Liga 4, following the elevation of Liga 3 to a semi-professional status operated by Liga Indonesia Baru.
