2024–25 Liga 2 (Indonesia)
The 2024–25 Liga 2 (also known as the 2024–25 Pegadaian Liga 2 for sponsorship reasons) was the eighth season of the Liga 2 (Indonesia), Liga 2 under its current name and the 15th season under its current Indonesian football league system, league structure. The league format was announced on 25 July 2024. The season started on 7 September 2024. Teams 26 teams competed in the league – the seventeen teams from the previous season, three teams relegated from the 2023–24 Liga 1 (Indonesia), Liga 1 and six teams promoted from 2023–24 Liga 3 (Indonesia), Liga 3. Team changes The following teams changed division after the 2023–24 season. Liga 2 ( English: ''League Two''), officially known as Pegadaian Liga 2 for sponsorship reasons, is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). The competition started in 2017 after PSSI changed the previous competition Liga Indonesia Premier Division ( Indonesian: ''Divisi Utama Liga Indonesia''). 2023–24 Liga 3 was the seventh season of the Liga 3 (Indonesia), Liga 3 under the current name and the eighth season under the current Indonesian football league system, league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The 2023–24 Liga 1 (also known as the 2023–24 BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) was the 7th season of Liga 1 under its current name and the 14th season of the association football, the top Indonesian football league since its establishment in 2008. The season started on 1 July 2023 and ended on 31 May 2024. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional). Persikas Subang
Perserikatan Sepakbola Indonesia Subang, (commonly known as Persikas Subang), is an Indonesian football team based in Subang, West Java. They last competed in the Liga 2. History For the first time in the club's history, Persikas Subang officially recruited the first foreign player during the club's existence.
