2024–25 Kategoria Superiore
The 2024–25 Kategoria Superiore was the 86th official season, or 89th season of top-tier football in Albania (including three unofficial championships during World War II) and the 25th season under the name Kategoria Superiore. The season began on 18 August 2024 and ended on 12 May 2025. Egnatia won the league title on 12 May 2025, beating Vllaznia in the final match. The winners of this season's Kategoria Superiore earned a place in the first qualifying round of the 2025–26 Champions League, with the second and third placed clubs earning a place in the first qualifying round of the 2025–26 Conference League. Teams Two clubs have earned promotion from the Kategoria e Parë, Bylis (promoted after a one-year absence) and Elbasani (promoted for the first time in their history). Kategoria Superiore
Kategoria Superiore (), also known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons with internet service provider, Abissnet, is a professional league for men's association football clubs in Albania. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's premier football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The competition was founded in 1930 as the Albanian National Championship during the reign of King Zog, shortly after the creation of the Albanian Football Association. Laç
Laç (; sq-definite, Laçi) is a town and a former Municipalities of Albania, municipality in Lezhë County, northwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision and the seat of the municipality Kurbin. It was the administrative center of the former Kurbin District. Elbasan
Elbasan ( , ; sq-definite, Elbasani, ) is the fourth most populous city of Albania and seat of Elbasan County and Elbasan Municipality. It lies to the north of the river Shkumbin between the Skanderbeg Mountains and the Myzeqe Plain in central Albania. Egnatia Arena
Egnatia Arena () is a multi-purpose stadium in Rrogozhinë, Albania. It was previously known as the Hasan Zyla Stadium. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of Egnatia. Its capacity is 4267 spectators. History The stadium has been used to host international matches for the Albania national under-19 football team and the Albania women's national under-19 football team. Egnatia Arena underwent renovations in 2021 to rebuild it with a capacity of 2,400 seats in order to meet FIFA standards. The renovation was estimated to cost $2 million. Adush Muça Stadium () is a multi-use stadium in Ballsh, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of KS Bylis Ballsh, Bylis.
