The 2024–25 FC Bayern Munich Frauen season is the club's 25th consecutive season in the Bundesliga. Bayern Munich starts the season with a derby against VfL Wolfsburg in the newly reinstated DFB-Supercup on 25 August 2024. Season events On 5 June 2024, Bayern Munich announced the signing of Ena Mahmutovic from MSV Duisburg on contract until 20 June 2027. FC Bayern Munich is a German professional women's football team based in Munich, Germany. The club was founded in 1970 and plays in the Frauen-Bundesliga, the top women's league in Germany. Bayern Munich Women were a founding member of the Frauen-Bundesliga in 1990. They have won seven German league titles and were twice DFB-Pokal winners. History Bayern's women's football team was officially founded in 1970 although women had been playing at the club since 1967. However, because the DFB had outlawed women's football from 1955 to 1970 Bayern could only officially register the team in 1970. They won their first national championship in 1976. Ena Mahmutovic (born 23 December 2003) is a German footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and the Germany national team. Club career Youth teams Mahmutovic, born and raised in Duisburg, Germany, began playing football as a goalkeeper at Eintracht Duisburg before moving to the youth team at MSV Duisburg. Jovana Damnjanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Јована Дамњановић; born 24 November 1994) is a Serbian footballer who plays as a forward for the Serbia national team and Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga.
