2024–25 Dallas Stars Season
The 2024–25 Dallas Stars season was the 58th season (57th season of play) for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 5, 1967, and the 32nd season since the franchise relocated from Minnesota prior to the start of the 1993–94 season. On March 29, 2025, the Stars clinched a playoff spot for the fourth straight season and sixth in the last seven seasons with a win over the Seattle Kraken. In the playoffs, the Stars defeated the Colorado Avalanche in the first round in seven games, defeated the Winnipeg Jets in the second round in six games, but lost to the Edmonton Oilers in five games in the Western Conference finals. Central Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Central Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. Its predecessor was the Norris Division and its also one of two successors to the Northwest Division. The Chicago Blackhawks have been a member of the Central Division in all of its seasons since the original 1993 realignment. The Arizona Coyotes (as the original Winnipeg Jets), Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues were also original members of the division, but were realigned to a different division for a while before returning; both the Coyotes and Stars were moved to the Pacific Division in 1998 (the Stars moved back to the Central in 2013, and the Coyotes followed in 2021), while the Blues were moved to the West Division during the temporary 2020–21 realignment. The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas. The team is a member of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ball Arena (formerly known as the Pepsi Center) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Denver, Colorado, United States. Magnus Hellberg
Magnus Hellberg (born 4 April 1991) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Playing career Hellberg was selected 38th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2011 NHL entry draft and was the first goaltender selected in the draft. Hellberg almost did not make the trip from Sweden to St. Paul, Minnesota, for the draft, citing it was "50-50" that he'd even be drafted. The 2024–25 Edmonton Oilers season was the 46th season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 22, 1979, and 53rd season for the organization overall, including their play in the World Hockey Association (WHA). The 1993–94 NHL season was the 77th regular season of the National Hockey League. The league expanded to 26 teams with the addition of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Florida Panthers.
