The 2024–25 season is Central Coast Mariners Football Club's 20th season in the A-League Men. In addition to the domestic league, Central Coast Mariners also participated in this season's editions of the Australia Cup and is participating in the AFC Champions League Elite, returning to the premier Asian competition since 2015; an eight-year absence. Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast (New South Wales), Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League, A-League Men, under Professional sports league organization#Systems around the world, licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Lucas Mauragis
Lucas Mauragis (born 4 September 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a left-back for the Central Coast Mariners. Club career Newcastle Jets Mauragis trialled with Newcastle Jets Youth in 2019 where he impressed coach Daniel McBreen who rewarded him with a contract in the youth team. The 2019-20 A-League season resumed in July 2020, on 13 October 2020 Mauragis was called up to the first team as he made his professional debut for Newcastle in a 3–0 win against Wellington Phoenix. In the 2020-21 A-League season Mauragis started the opening two matches for Newcastle as he competed with Connor O'Toole for the starting position at left-back. Vitor Feijão
Vitor Correia da Silva (born 1 August 1996), known as Vitor Feijão is a Brazilian footballer as a forward for Central Coast Mariners. Club career Paraná Born in São Paulo, Feijão is a graduate of the youth academy of Paraná. On 16 October 2015, he was called to the senior team for a Série B match against Esporte Clube Vitória; making his debut and replacing Edér in the 1–1 draw. Deemed surplus to the club's requirements Feijão joined Jacuipense on a loan deal on 2 March 2016. However he returned to his parent club in early April. In May, he was loaned to Série A club Coritiba after having renewed his contract till 2017. On 9 January 2017, Feijão's contract was extended till the end of the season. Alfie McCalmont
Alfie McCalmont (born 25 March 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Central Coast Mariners and the Northern Ireland national team. Career Born in Thirsk, he attended Thirsk School and Sixth Form College and came through the youth academy at Leeds United. He signed a professional contract extension on 22 January 2019 keeping him at the club until the summer of 2021. Christian Theoharous
Christian Theoharous (born 6 December 1999) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for A-League Men club Central Coast Mariners. Early life Theoharous was born in Melbourne, Victoria (state), Victoria to a Cypriot father and Australian mother of Greek descent. His father, Andrew Theoharous, was born in Pegeia, Cyprus and was a former footballer in the National Soccer League for Marconi Stallions FC, Marconi and later for Bentleigh Greens SC, Bentleigh Greens, whom he captained for a decade. Like his father, Theoharous joined Bentleigh Greens at the age of six before eventually moving to the FFV NTC, Victoria National Training Centre (FFV NTC).
