2024–25 BNXT League
The 2024–25 BNXT League is the fourth season of the BNXT League, the highest professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. The season began on 14 September 2024 and will finish with the playoffs in 2025. The format for this season was changed, as teams from both countries will now play each other home and away in one Round-robin tournament, round-robin regular season. Teams qualify for their national playoffs based on rankings, and the champions of each country will play each other in the BNXT finals. BNXT League
The BNXT League is a professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. The league is the first tier in both the Dutch and Belgian system, replacing the Dutch Basketball League, DBL and Pro Basketball League, PBL. The inaugural season was the 2021–22 BNXT League, 2021–22 season, which started in September 2021. History On 10 December 2020, it was announced that the Belgian Pro Basketball League and Dutch Basketball League would merge to form a new multinational league. All clubs from the Dutch DBL voted for, while 9 of 10 teams in Belgium voted in favor of the decision. Serious talks about the initiative had been ongoing since fall 2019. On 20 May 2021, the new name "BNXT League" and logo of the league were announced. Basketball Community Gelderland
United Basketball, for sponsorship reasons known as QSTA United, is a Dutch basketball club based in Bemmel, Gelderland. Established in 2020, the team plays in the BNXT League, the highest level of basketball in the Netherlands. Home games are played at De Kooi, which has a capacity of 650 people. History The organization was founded in May 2020 under the temporary name of Basketball Community Gelderland with the aim of bringing back professional basketball to the province of Gelderland. Brussels Basketball is a professional basketball club based in Neder-Over-Heembeek (Brussels), Belgium. The team plays in the BNXT League. Home games are played at the Sports Complex Neder-Over-Heembeek. History The club was founded in 1957. In 1999 Excelsior merged with AERA Castor and renamed itself AERA Excelsior Brussel VZW. After 7 years in the 3e Nationale, the Belgian third division, Excelsior promoted to the 2e Nationale in 2009. In the first two years, Excelsior finished 4th and 5th and was defeated in the quarterfinals. In the 2011–12 season Excelsior reached the semifinals and in the 2012–13 season, it finished 10th while missing the Playoffs. Limburg United, for sponsorship reasons named Hubo Limburg United, is a professional basketball club based in Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium. Founded in 2014, the club plays in the BNXT League, the first tier of basketball in Belgium. The team plays its home games in Sporthal Alverberg. Limburg has won one trophy, the Belgian Cup in 2022. Union Mons-Hainaut is a Belgian professional basketball club that is based in Mons, Wallonia. The club competes in the highest division of the country, the BNXT League. The club's home arena is the Mons Arena. Okapi Aalst is a Belgian professional basketball club from Aalst, Belgium. The club competes in the top tier BNXT League and plays its home games in the Okapi Forum, which has a seating capacity of 2,800 people.
