2024–25 Adelaide United FC Season
The 2024–25 season was the 21st in the history of Adelaide United Football Club since its establishment in 2003. The club participated in the A-League Men for the 20th consecutive season, finishing sixth and qualified for the finals series for the 14th time, in which they failed to progress past the first round for the first time since 2018. The club also made its 10th consecutive appearance in the Australia Cup, in which they reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2019. Adelaide United's pre-season was headlined by the loss of Nestory Irankunda, who joined Bayern Munich after agreeing terms with the club in November 2023 for a record domestic Australian transfer fee, and last season's top scorer, Hiroshi Ibusuki, who netted 15 goals across the 2023–24 season. Adelaide brought in young domestic players Archie Goodwin from Newcastle Jets, and Dylan Pierias from Western Sydney Wanderers. Adelaide United Football Club is a professional men's Association football, soccer club located in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. 2019 FFA Cup
The 2019 FFA Cup was the sixth season of the FFA Cup, the main national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. 32 teams contested the competition proper (from the round of 32), including 10 of the 11 A-League teams (with Western United not competing in their inaugural season) and 21 Football Federation Australia (FFA) member federation teams determined through individual state qualifying rounds, as well as the reigning National Premier Leagues Champion ( Campbelltown City from South Australia). Jordan Elsey
Jordan Elsey (born 2 March 1994) is an Australian footballer who plays as a centre back for A-League club Adelaide United. Playing career In December 2013, Elsey joined Hong Kong First Division club Kitchee on loan, however he was recalled early and subsequently did not make a senior appearance. In January 2014, Elsey scored his debut goal for Adelaide United in stoppage time of a match against league leaders Brisbane Roar, giving Adelaide United a surprising 2–1 victory. On 4 November 2014 Adelaide United confirmed that Jordan had ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Ben Folami
Gbenga Tai "Ben" Folami (born 8 June 1999) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Adelaide United and the Australia national team. Club career Ipswich Town Born in Sydney, Folami joined Ipswich Town's academy in 2015, having previously played for the Football NSW Institute and the Sutherland Sharks at youth level. After working his way through the youth system at Portman Road, he went on to make his full senior debut in a 2–1 defeat against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup second round on 22 August 2017. Bart Vriends
Bart Vriends (born 9 May 1991, in Amersfoort) is a Dutch professional association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre back for Adelaide United FC, Adelaide United in the A-League Men. He formerly played for FC Utrecht, Go Ahead Eagles and most notably Sparta Rotterdam, of which he has played over 200 games for the club. Hiroshi Ibusuki
is a Japanese professional footballer who plays for Western United as a striker. Club career Born in Nagareyama, Chiba, Ibusuki played all his youth football with Kashiwa Reysol. On 2 January 2009, aged not yet 18, he signed a four-year contract with Spanish club Girona FC.
