The 2024 Ykkönen was the 53rd season of Ykkönen, the third highest football league in Finland. The season began on 12 April 2024 and ended on 19 October 2024. Ykkönen
''Ykkönen'' (Finnish language, Finnish for 'Number One'; , previously I divisioona) is the third highest level of the Finnish football league system (after the Veikkausliiga and Ykkösliiga), managed by the Football Association of Finland. Until the end of 2023, ''Ykkönen'' was the second-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, it was dropped down one level in the league pyramid. History The first league format competition in the second level of Finnish football was called , which was founded in 1936. Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa
Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa (abbreviated PK Keski-Uusimaa or PKKU) is a football club serving the sub-region of Keski-Uusimaa in Finland and is centred on the towns of Järvenpää, Kerava and Tuusula. The club was formed in 2005 and the men's first team currently plays in the newly formed Ykkönen (Second Division). The Chairman of PK Keski-Uusimaa is Mikko Bergman. Background The club was founded on 30 November 2005 as a flagship club for the Keski-Uusimaa area with Järvenpään Palloseura, Keravan Pallo-75 and Tuusulan Palloseura as the feeder clubs. Oulun Luistinseura
Oulun Luistinseura (or OLS) is a Finnish multi-sports club, based in Oulu. The club has football, bandy, bowling and floorball sections. Football OLS football team was founded in 1941 by clubs bandy players. Throughout the years the club has played mostly in lower divisions, never competing in the highest tier of Finnish football except as a part of short lived merger with OTP called FC Oulu in the early 1990s. The most successful part of OLS is the youth academy which has produced many national team level players.
