Zeynep Sönmez defeated Ann Li in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles title at the 2024 Mérida Open. It was her first WTA Tour title. Zeynep Sönmez (born 30 April 2002) is a Turkish professional tennis player. She has career-high rankings of No. 76 in singles and No. 584 in doubles by the WTA, achieved in 2025.
