2024 Italian Open – Women's Doubles
Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini defeated Coco Gauff and Erin Routliffe in the final, 6–3, 4–6, 0–8to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2024 Italian Open. They became the first all-Italian female pair to win the title since 2012, when Errani did so partnering Roberta Vinci. Storm Hunter and Elise Mertens were the reigning champions, but Hunter could not participate this year due to injury. Mertens partnered Hsieh Su-wei, but lost in the quarterfinals to Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai. Sara Errani (; born 29 April 1987) is an Italian professional tennis player. Errani is one of only seven women who have completed a career Grand Slam (tennis)#Golden Slam, Golden Slam in doubles. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, a former doubles List of WTA number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, world No. 1, achieved on 10 September 2012, major champion in doubles and mixed doubles, and a finalist in singles. Lyudmyla Viktorivna Kichenok (, ; born 20 July 1992) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player. She has been ranked as high as world No. 3 in doubles. She is a two-time Grand Slam champion winning the 2024 US Open with Jeļena Ostapenko and the 2023 Wimbledon Championships with Mate Pavić becoming the first Ukrainian to do so. Bethanie Mattek-Sands ( Bethanie Lynn Mattek; born March 23, 1985) is an American professional tennis player. She has won nine Grand Slam titles (five in women's doubles and four in mixed doubles), and an Olympic gold medal, and is a former world No. 1 in doubles.
