The 2024 FIBA U18 Asia Cup was an international under-18 basketball competition that was held in Amman, Jordan from 2 to 9 September 2024. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament and replays are not allowed. The 2023 FIBA Under-17 Oceania Championship was the ninth edition of the U17/U18 Oceanian basketball championship.
