The 2024 Chilean Primera División, known as Campeonato Itaú 2024 for sponsorship purposes, is the 94th season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season began on 16 February and ended on 10 November 2024. Colo-Colo won their thirty-fourth league title in this tournament, clinching the championship with a 1–1 draw with Deportes Copiapó and another 1–1 draw for Club Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Chile against Everton de Viña del Mar, Everton on the final day of the season. Huachipato FC, Huachipato were the defending champions. Fernando Zampedri
Fernando Matías Zampedri (born 14 February 1988) is a professional footballer who plays for Universidad Católica. Born in Argentina, he plays for the Chile national team. Club career Born in Chajarí, Argentina, Zampedri was with club 1° de Mayo in his hometown as a youth player. Later, he spent one year with Newell's Old Boys, aged 13, before joining Atlético Rafaela, with whom he made his professional debut in 2008. Subsequently, he played on loan for Sportivo Belgrano and Crucero del Norte in the Torneo Argentino A. In 2013, he signed with Guillermo Brown in the same division. Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División () is a professional association football league in Chile and the highest level of the Chilean football league system. Founded in 1933, it is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP). The league is officially known as the Liga de Primera Itaú due to sponsorship by Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco, Itaú. Throughout its history, the Chilean Primera División has had different formats, structures and number of participants. The 2025 Chilean Primera División, 2025 season is being contested through a single tournament throughout the calendar year. The season began on 20 January and ended on 9 December 2023. Huachipato were the champions, clinching their third league title on the final round of the season with a 2–0 win over Audax Italiano and a 1–0 defeat for Cobresal at the hands of Unión Española on 8 December 2023, regaining the title after 11 years and being the first team from outside Santiago to win the title since 2015. Calama, Chile
Calama is a city and commune in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. It is the capital of El Loa Province, part of the Antofagasta Region. Calama is one of the driest cities in the world with average annual precipitation of just . The River Loa, Chile's longest, flows through the city. Calama has a population of 147,886 (2012 census). Estadio Bicentenario De La Florida
Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida is a multi-purpose stadium, located in La Florida, in eastern Santiago, Chile. It is the home stadium of Chilean football team Audax Italiano. The stadium was built in 1986 and rebuilt in 2008. The stadium also hosts a variety of events such as summer theatre festivals and music concerts, such as the KISS concert in early 2009. Faith No More performed at the stadium on October 30, 2009 as part of their The Second Coming Tour. Deportes Magallanes
Magallanes is a Chilean football club based in San Bernardo, Chile. They play in the Primera B de Chile, after being relegated from the Chilean Primera División in 2023. History The club was on October 27, 1897, with the name Atlético Escuela Normal F.C. In 1933 they became the first national champions of Chile. Curicó Unido is a football club based in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. They currently play in the Primera B de Chile, the second level of the Chilean football system. The 2023 Primera B de Chile, known as Campeonato Ascenso Betsson 2023 for sponsorship purposes until 15 October 2023, was the 69th season of the Primera B de Chile, Chile's second-tier football league. The fixture for the season was announced on 11 January 2023, with the competition starting on 10 February and ending on 10 December 2023. Cobreloa won their first Primera B championship in this tournament, securing both the title as well as promotion to the Chilean Primera División with a 2–1 victory over Rangers on the final round of the regular season on 15 October. Unión La Calera is a Chilean football club based in La Calera, Chile. The club competes in the Primera División de Chile. It was founded as Club de Deportes La Calera on 26 January 1954, after the merger of three teams from the city: ''Condor'', ''Calera Comercio'' and ''Tifón''. The following year, Deportes La Calera joined ''Club de Deportes Melón'' (originated by the merger between Cemento Melón and Minas Navío) to form Unión La Calera. Coquimbo Unido is a Chilean football club based in the city of Coquimbo. The club was founded in 1958 and has played in the Chilean Primera División since being promoted in 2022. Their home games are played at the Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso, which has a capacity of approximately 18,750 seats. History The club was founded on 30 August 1958.
