Nadia Podoroska was the reigning champion, but did not participate this year. Irina-Camelia Begu won the title, defeating Veronika Erjavec 6–3, 6–3 in the final. She did not drop a set throughout the tournament. This was Begu's fourth WTA 125 title and third of the year. Irina-Camelia Begu (born 26 August 1990) is a Romanian tennis player. She reached a career-high WTA ranking, WTA singles ranking of world No. 22 , in August 2016. Two years later, she reached her highest ranking in doubles, also No. 22. She is currently the No. 2 Romanian player. Begu has won five singles titles and nine doubles titles on the WTA Tour.
