2024–25 Men's Floorball Champions Cup
The 2024–25 Men's Floorball Champions Cup was the 30th edition of the premier competition for floorball clubs and the second in a format for league and cup winners. Pixbo IBK won its second title by defeating Florbal MB in finals held in Mladá Boleslav. Pixbo won also in women's tournament, becoming the first club to win both titles in the same year. Format The league champions and cup winners from four countries take part. If the same team wins the league and the cup in their country, the second-place team in the league also takes part. For quarterfinals the eight teams are divided into two conferences based on their geographical location. The Swedish and Finnish teams take part in the Northern conference; the clubs from the Czech Republic and Switzerland play in the Southern conference. The four winners advance to the semifinals. Floorball
Floorball (also known by other names) is a sport played with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. It is played indoors with sticks and a hollow plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. The basic rules were established in 1979 when the first floorball club in the world, Sala IBK, from Sala, was founded in Sweden. Official rules for matches were first written down in 1981. The sport is organized internationally by the International Floorball Federation (IFF). As of 2019, there were about 377,000 registered floorball players worldwide, up from around 300,000 in 2014. Overtime

The final of a competition is the match or round in which the winner of the entire event is decided. Overview In sports competitions following a knockout system, where only two individuals or teams compete in each match, the final is usually played between the winners of two semifinals. A single-elimination knockout, or sudden-death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of a match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Unihockey Prime League Men (also known as Lidl Unihockey Prime League Men due to sponsorship, abbreviated as L-UPL Men) is the top men's floorball league in Switzerland. The F-liiga is the top men's floorball league in Finland. The league was founded in 1986 by the Finnish Floorball Federation (SSBL). The league consists of 12 teams. The champion of the league is eligible to compete at the Champions Cup (floorball), Champions Cup.
