2023–24 Wyoming Cowboys Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Wyoming Cowboys basketball team represented the University of Wyoming during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cowboys were led by Jeff Linder in his fourth and final season and played their home games for the 42nd season at Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming. They participated as members of the Mountain West Conference for the 25th season. Previous season The Cowboys finished the 2022–23 season 9–22, 4–14 in Mountain West play, to finish in last place. They lost to New Mexico in the first round of the Mountain West tournament. Offseason Three players left the team during the season, and had six more players transfer after the season. Jeff Linder
Jeffrey Michael Linder (born June 21, 1977) is an American college basketball coach and current men's assistant basketball coach at Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball, Texas Tech. Linder was previously an assistant coach at Emporia State Hornets basketball, Emporia State, Midland College, Midland, Weber State Wildcats men's basketball, Weber State, San Francisco Dons men's basketball, San Francisco, and Boise State Broncos men's basketball, Boise State from 2001 to 2016. From 2016 to 2020, Linder was head coach at Northern Colorado Bears men's basketball, Northern Colorado. In the midst of an NCAA investigation and sanctions over rules violations from the previous head coach, Linder led Northern Colorado to three straight winning seasons and the 2018 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament title. Noah Reynolds (born November 11, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the TCU Horned Frogs of the Big 12 Conference. Hunter Alan Maldonado (born March 24, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who last played for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). He played college basketball for the Wyoming Cowboys. High school career Maldonado attended Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are an intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Gonzaga University.
