2023–24 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
[] The 2023–24 Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup is a season-long cyclo-cross competition, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), taking place between 15 October 2023 and 28 January 2024. The defending champions were Laurens Sweeck in the men's competition and Fem van Empel in the women's competition, they were succeeded respectively by Michael Vanthourenhout and Puck Pieterse. Points distribution Points were awarded to all eligible riders at each race. From this season, the points awarded are according to the same scale for all categories, but only the top 25 riders receive points rather than the top 50. UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup is a season-long competition in cyclo-cross, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). First held in the 1993–1994 season, there are currently five awards, tailored to the different categories of riders: Men Elite, Women Elite, Men Under 23, Women Under 23, and Men Junior. The World Cup is not to be confused with the World Championship, also organised by the UCI, which is a single one day race that awards the winner with a rainbow jersey to be worn in every race till the next World Championship. Typically the World Championships are held a week or two after the end of the World Cup at the end of January or early February. In November 2014 the first round of the World Cup ever to take place outside mainland Europe was held in Milton Keynes, England. Troyes
Troyes () is a commune and the capital of the department of Aube in the Grand Est region of north-central France. It is located on the Seine river about south-east of Paris. Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Cat Ferguson
Cat Ferguson (born 27 April 2006) is a British racing cyclist, competing across road, cyclo-cross and track racing disciplines. A British junior time trial champion, she won the silver medal in the junior road race at the 2023 UCI World Road Championships. In 2024, she will ride for as a Stagiaire before joining them full time in 2025. Early life From Skipton in Yorkshire, she attended South Craven High School. She started riding mountain bikes as a child with her father on local trails in Yorkshire. From there she graduated to attending the British National School of Racing. She was also a competitive skier, specialising in slalom skiing as a youth.
