2023–24 Toronto Raptors Season
The 2023–24 Toronto Raptors season was the 29th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On April 21, 2023, the Raptors fired head coach Nick Nurse after five seasons with the team. On June 13, 2023, the Raptors hired Darko Rajaković as their head coach. Near the end of the 2023 calendar year, on December 30, the Toronto Raptors not only agreed to trade OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a 2024 second round pick from the Detroit Pistons, but also ended up being the team to end the Pistons' record-holding 28-game losing streak for the regular season with a 129–127 loss on the road. Darko Rajaković
Darko Rajaković ( sr-Cyrl, Дарко Рајаковић; born 22 February 1979) is a Serbian professional basketball coach who is the head coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rajaković was the head coach of the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA G League for two seasons and the first head coach in NBA G League history born outside of North America. Rajaković went on to become an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies prior to becoming the head coach of the Toronto Raptors. Bruce Brown (basketball)
Bruce Brown Jr. (born August 15, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Miami Hurricanes men's basketball, Miami Hurricanes and was selected 42nd overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2018 NBA draft. Gradey Reed Dick (born November 20, 2003) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2022 class. A small forward, in 2022, Dick was named the boys Gatorade National Player of the Year. He also runs a podcast on Bleacher Report, called "Welcome Party". Richard Dumas
Richard Wayne Dumas Jr. (born May 19, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he is the son of former American Basketball Association (ABA) player Rich Dumas. Basketball career Dumas, a 6' 7" small forward from Oklahoma State University, was selected with the 46th pick of the 1991 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns. Jack Molinas
Jacob Louis Molinas (October 31, 1931 – August 3, 1975) was an American professional basketball player, playing first for Columbia University, in New York City, and later briefly in the early National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Fort Wayne Pistons (then in Fort Wayne, Indiana and later relocated to Detroit, Michigan). Jontay Porter ( ; born November 15, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers men's basketball, Missouri Tigers where he played alongside his older brother, Michael Porter Jr. He was awarded as the Southeastern Conference Sixth Man of the Year during his freshman season. A two-way contract is a professional sports contract that stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. This is opposed to a one-way contract that would pay the same salary regardless of where the athlete is assigned to play.
