2023–24 Super League Greece 2
The 2023–24 Super League 2 was the fifth season of the Super League Greece 2, Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system. The league was conducted by 24 teams and two groups, this was due to the restructure and abolishment of the Football League (Greece), Football League. The B Teams of Olympiacos F.C., Olympiacos, PAOK FC, PAOK, Panathinaikos F.C., Panathinaikos and AEK Athens F.C., AEK Athens also competed in the league for a third consecutive year. Competition The championship is held with the participation of a total of 24 teams, six less than the previous season, which were divided into two groups. The Super League Greece 2 () is the second division of professional Association football, football in Greece, serving as a feeder league to the top level Super League Greece, Super League 1. Makedonikos B.C., full name Makedonikos Neapolis B.C. ( Greek: Μακεδονικός Νεάπολης K.A.E.) is a Greek professional basketball club. The club is located in Neapoli, Thessaloniki, Greece. Veria NFC
Veria 1960 Football Club () is a Greek professional football club based in Veria, Greece. It was founded in 2018. It plays its home matches at the Veria Municipal Stadium. History Foundation Veria NFC was established on July 17, 2019. During the summer transfer window in 2019, Veria's board achieved to sign some significant players like Giannis Pasas and the Argentine midfielder Marcelo Penta as their goal was to achieve promotion to Super League 2. 2023–24 Super League Greece
The 2023–24 Super League Greece, also known as Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the 88th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. The draw for the fixtures was announced on 17 July 2023. AEK Athens were the defending champions. On 5 December, the league referees announced a collective hiatus from refereeing indefinitely, citing the attacks on the home of referee Andreas Gamaris and his family's store, as well as the threats made by ultras of Olympiacos to Anastasios Papapetrou and his family, following his controversial refereeing as "tipping points"; they called for better protection of the referees. The Gamma Ethniki (, C National Division) is the Greek football league system, third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. The Greek football league system consists of two professional leagues, one nationwide non-professional league and several regional non-professional leagues. The 2024–25 Super League 2 was the sixth season of the Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system. The championship was held with the participation of 20 teams, four fewer than the previous season, which were divided into two groups. The division of the groups and the draw for the fixtures took place on 9 September 2024. The championship began on 20 September 2024 and concluded on 4 May 2025.
