2023–24 Portland Trail Blazers Season
The 2023–24 Portland Trail Blazers season was the 54th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This became the first season in franchise history where Portland would have an NBA G League team of their own to be affiliated with by the Rip City Remix, thus leaving every NBA team outside of the Phoenix Suns with an official affiliate or partnership involved with a G League development team. This is also the first season since 2011–12 without Damian Lillard on the roster, as he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, and a 2029 first-round draft pick. Four days later, Holiday was traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, and two future first-round draft picks. Chauncey Billups
Chauncey Ray Billups (born September 25, 1976) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After playing college basketball with the Colorado Buffaloes, he was selected third overall in the 1997 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. Billups spent the majority of his 17-year basketball career playing for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he won the NBA Finals MVP in 2004 after helping the Pistons beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. Robert Lee Williams III (born October 17, 1997), nicknamed “Time Lord”, is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies. Williams was drafted 27th overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. He had a breakout season in 2021–22, which saw him being named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team and reaching the NBA Finals as the Celtics' starting center. Rayan Rupert ( ; born 31 May 2004) is a French professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kristopher James Murray (born August 19, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
