2023–24 PWHL Toronto Season
The 2023–24 PWHL Toronto season was the team's inaugural season as a member of the newly created Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They played the majority of their home games at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, hosting one game at Scotiabank Arena and their playoff games at Coca-Cola Coliseum. Toronto topped the regular season standings, becoming the first team to clinch a playoff spot on April 22, 2024. On May 1, the team clinched first overall. Natalie Spooner led the team and the league in goals, with 20, and points, with 27. By virtue of finishing first, Toronto had the option to select its semifinal opponent, and Toronto chose PWHL Minnesota. Gina Kingsbury
Gina Kingsbury (born November 26, 1981) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current general manager for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Playing career Besides hockey, Kingsbury participated in field hockey and softball as a student at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut. Kingsbury participated in the 1995 Canada Winter Games at the age of 13. She competed in the Games again four years later. In 2004–05, she played for the Montreal Axion with her Olympic teammate Charline Labonté. St. Lawrence She attended St. Lawrence University, where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in psychology, and was a key player with the St. Lawrence Skating Saints women's ice hockey program. Kingsbury earned All-America honors at St. Lawrence in her senior season of 2004. 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship
The 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship was the 15th IIHF World Women's Championships, world championship sanctioned by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and was the last world championship before the 2014 Winter Olympics. The tournament was hosted in Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and was primarily played in small community arenas, including the Nepean Sportsplex, but most games were held at Scotiabank Place. PWHL Montreal
The Montreal Victoire () are a professional ice hockey team based in the Greater Montreal area that competes in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They are one of the six charter franchises of the league. The team plays its home games at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec.
