2023–24 PWHL Montreal Season
The 2023–24 PWHL Montréal season was the team's inaugural season as a member of the newly created Professional Women's Hockey League. They played their home games at Verdun Auditorium in Montreal and Place Bell in the suburb of Laval. They also played one game at the Bell Centre on April 20. Montréal finished second overall in the league standings, clinching a playoff berth on April 24, 2024, with a 5–2 victory over PWHL New York. Montréal faced PWHL Boston in the playoff semifinal. Montréal lost the series in three straight games, with all three decisions coming in overtime, including a triple-overtime loss in the second game of the series. Danièle Sauvageau
Danièle Sauvageau, (born April 22, 1962) is a Canadian ice hockey executive and former coach. Sauvageau was the head coach of the Canadian national women's hockey team that won the gold medal in ice hockey at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Police career Originally from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, Sauvageau served as a police officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal for 33 years. According to Sauvageau, she "dealt with everything as a police officer and investigator (911, drugs, morality, surveillance, strategic development, etc." including being part of the responses to the École Polytechnique massacre and Dawson College shooting. Claire Dalton
Claire Dalton (born March 20, 2000) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the Montreal Victoire of the PWHL. She played college ice hockey at Yale. College career Dalton played her college hockey at Yale. As a freshman and a sophomore, she was chosen as the team's most valuable player. She served as Yale's team captain during her senior season (2022–23), leading the team to their first Ivy League title. She graduated as Yale's all-time leader in assists with 89. Ann-Sophie Bettez
Ann-Sophie Bettez (born October 14, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward that played for the Montreal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Playing career CIS She was CIS rookie of the year in 2008 and voted league MVP in her second year. She won the 2009 QSSF scoring crown with 24 goals and 30 assists for 54 points in just 18 conference games. These numbers set league records in each category. The Ottawa Charge (French: ''Charge d'Ottawa'') are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa that competes in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
