Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional Association football, soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. It competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, under Professional sports league organization#Systems around the world, licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) (formerly under licence from Football Australia). Lucas Mauragis (born 4 September 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a left-back for the Central Coast Mariners. Club career Newcastle Jets Mauragis trialled with Newcastle Jets Youth in 2019 where he impressed coach Daniel McBreen who rewarded him with a contract in the youth team. The 2019-20 A-League season resumed in July 2020, on 13 October 2020 Mauragis was called up to the first team as he made his professional debut for Newcastle in a 3–0 win against Wellington Phoenix. Phillip Čančar (born 11 May 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a central defender for Western Sydney Wanderers. Early life Čančar was born and raised in the Illawarra region of Wollongong, Australia. His parents were originally from Bosnia but had moved to Croatia before ultimately seeking refuge in Australia. Daniel Stynes (born 29 August 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Ykkösliiga club Ekenäs IF. He made his senior debut for Perth Glory as an 18 year old against Heidelberg United on 1 August 2017 in the FFA cup. Kosta Grozos (born 10 August 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a central midfielder or sweeper for Newcastle Jets, where he is also the current team captain.
