2023–24 Montenegrin Second League
The 2023–24 Montenegrin Second League (also known as 2.CFL) was the 18th season since the establishment of the Montenegrin Second League. The season ran from August 2023 to May 2024. This was the sixth season with 10 participating teams. Format of competition A total of 10 teams participate this edition of the Second League. The new members are Iskra, who were relegated from 2022–23 Montenegrin First League, and winners of Montenegrin Third League playoffs - Lovćen and Internacional. That is the sixth season of 2.CFL with 10 participants. At the end of the season, the winner is automatically promoted to Montenegrin First League, while 2nd and 3rd placed teams play promotion play-offs, while the 9th and 10th position lead to relegation to the Montenegrin Third League. Montenegrin Second League
The Montenegrin Second League (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: ''Druga crnogorska fudbalska liga'' – ''Druga CFL'' – ''2. CFL'') is the second-top Association football, football league in Montenegro. It is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. Second Montenegrin League consists of 10 participants. The top team qualifies for the First League of Montenegro, the second and third one contest in a playoff match against the 8th and 9th team from the First League, while the bottom-placed two teams are relegated to any of the three Montenegrin Third League, third-tier leagues, to be replaced by the two winners of a three-way promotion playoffs, contested by the winners of the three Third League divisions. FK Iskra Danilovgrad
Fudbalski klub Iskra (English: Football Club Iskra) is a Montenegrin professional football club based in Danilovgrad. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League. History FK Iskra was founded in 1919, under the name ''RSK Sloga Danilovgrad''. Since 1929, the team played under the name ''RSK Zmaj'', with their first-ever performance in the Montenegrin Football Championship in season 1933–34. After World War II, the team started to play under the name FK Iskra. First significant success, FK Iskra made with promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League 1948–49. Another historical success, FK Iskra made in summer 1956. After playoff games against FK Bokelj, the team from Danilovgrad gained their first-ever promotion to the Yugoslav Second League (1956–57), but finished as a last-placed team. Danilovgrad
Danilovgrad (Cyrillic: Даниловград) is a town in central Montenegro. It has a population of 6,852, according to the 2011 census. It is situated in the Danilovgrad Municipality which lies along the main route between Montenegro's two largest cities, Podgorica and Nikšić. Via villages, Danilovgrad forms part of a conurbation with Podgorica. The town of Danilovgrad is located in the Bjelopavlići plain, a fertile valley of the Zeta River. Football Association of Montenegro Camp, commonly referred to as simply Camp FSCG, is the Training ground (association football), training facility and stadium, stadiums complex in Podgorica, Montenegro. Stadion Solila is a football stadium in Igalo, Herceg Novi municipality, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Igalo. The stadium holds 1,600 seats. History Until the middle of the 1990s, the football ground in Igalo was among amateur-pitches like neighbouring Stadion Opačica or Stadion Bijela. Igalo
Igalo (, ) is a small town in the Herceg Novi Municipality of Montenegro. It is accessible via the E65/ E80 north headed to Dubrovnik, Croatia. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of 3,355. The town adjoins Herceg Novi and is administratively divided leaving no clear division between the towns. FK Igalo is a Montenegrin professional football club based in Igalo, Herceg Novi municipality. The club was founded in 1929 and currently competes in the Montenegrin Second League. History Founded as ''Primorje'' in 1929, FK Igalo is among the oldest football clubs at the territory of Herceg Novi municipality. Stadion Donja Sutvara is a football stadium in Radanovići, Municipality of Kotor, Montenegro. It is used for football matches and is the home turf of OFK Grbalj. The stadium holds 1,500 people. History The stadium was built in 1995 near the village Donja Sutvara, on the outskirts of Radanovići. It is situated near the main road between Kotor and Budva and is the home turf of OFK Grbalj. Radanovići, Kotor
Radanovići ( Montenegrin Cyrillic: Радановићи) is a small town in the municipality of Kotor, Montenegro. Town is also part and largest settlement of historical rural region of Grbalj at the coastal region of Montenegro. Stadion Pod Vrmcem
Stadion Pod Vrmcem is a football stadium in Kotor, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Bokelj. The stadium holds 1,000 people. History The first football ground in Kotor was situated at Rakite suburb, near the Adriatic coast. At the same location, after 1945, a new ground was built. The stadium was renovated few times. It's situated near the beach in Bay of Kotor and it's the home ground of FK Bokelj. Except Bokelj's matches, at the Stadion pod Vrmcem, every year is playing final match of Nikša Bućin Cup, competition for Third League clubs from south Montenegro.
