2023–24 Luxembourg Cup
The 2023–24 Luxembourg Cup, also known as Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg, for sponsorship reasons, was the 99th year of the football knockout tournament in Luxembourg. The winners qualified for the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League#Second qualifying round, 2024–25 Conference League second qualifying round. FC Progrès Niederkorn, Progrès Niederkorn won the cup on 9 May 2024 (their fifth Luxembourg Cup win), defeating FC Swift Hesperange, Swift Hesperange 3–1 on penalties after a 1–1 draw. Foussballclub Differdange 03 is a professional association football, football club based in Differdange, Luxembourg. The club currently competes in Luxembourg National Division, the highest division in Luxembourg. Founded in 2003, FDC03 played its home games in Stade Municipal de la Ville de Differdange, along with Stade du Thillenberg. History It was founded in 2003, by a merge of 2 clubs from the List of cities in Luxembourg, city of Differdange: FA Red Boys Differdange and AS Differdange. Football Club Mondercange is a football club, based in Mondercange, in south-western Luxembourg. In the 2005–06 season, Mondercange finished third in the Division of Honour. This qualified Mondercange for a play-off with FC Avenir Beggen, which they won, granting them promotion into the National Division. They were relegated the following season from the National Division, back to the Division of Honour. U.N. Käerjeng '97 is a football club, based in Bascharage, in south-western Luxembourg. History A young club, it was only formed in 1997 as an amalgam of Union Sportive Bascharage and Jeunesse Hautcharage. In the 2005–06 season, Käerjeng finished sixth in the National Division. FC Wiltz 71 is a professional association football (soccer), association football football club, club based in the town of Wiltz, in north-western Luxembourg. The team competes in the Luxembourg National Division, the top tier of football in Luxembourg. Union Sportive Rumelange, usually abbreviated to US Rumelange, is a football club, based in Rumelange, in south-western Luxembourg. FC Avenir Beggen
Football Club Avenir Beggen is a football club, based in Beggen, a quarter of Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The club were founded in 1915 as FC Daring Beggen but changed their name to FC Avenir Beggen a year later. In 1940, they were renamed SV 1915 Beggen, but in 1944, it was changed again to FC Avenir Beggen. Avenir Beggen had played in the National Division in consecutive seasons since 1965–66, but were relegated in the 2005–06 season. Finishing second in their first season in the second-tier Division of Honour, Avenir returned to the National Division at the first time of asking. SC Bettembourg
SC Bettembourg is a football club based in Bettembourg, Luxembourg. History The club was founded in 1927 as Sporting Club Bettemburg. After the German occupation of Luxembourg in 1940, it was renamed FK 1927 Bettemburg and four years later it was renamed back to its original name. In the 1947–48 and 1972–73 seasons, SC Bettembourg played in the highest Luxembourg league, Luxembourg National Division, for one season each. After relegation in 1973, the club moved between the honorary promotion and the fourth-tier 2nd Division. Jeunesse Esch (full name ''Association Sportive la Jeunesse d'Esch/Alzette'') is a professional football club based in Esch-sur-Alzette, in south-western Luxembourg. The side play in the National Division, the highest league in the country, and have won the league title on 28 occasions between 1921 and 2010, the most of any team in Luxembourg.
