2023–24 Long Beach State Beach Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Long Beach State Beach men's basketball team represented California State University, Long Beach during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Beach, led by 17th-year head coach Dan Monson, played their home games at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 21–15, 10–10 in Big West play to finish a tie for fifth place. As the No. 4 seed in the Big West tournament, they defeated UC Riverside, UC Irvine, and UC Davis to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 15 seed in the West region. There they lost to Arizona. After the regular season, the school announced that head coach Dan Monson would finish the postseason as the team's head coach, but would not return as head coach by mutual agreement. Dan Monson
Daniel Lloyd Monson (born October 6, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Eastern Washington. He was previously the head coach at Long Beach State for 17 seasons. He was also the head coach at Minnesota for over seven seasons, reaching postseason play five times. Before coaching the Gophers, he was the head coach at Gonzaga for two seasons, leading the team on an improbable run to the Elite Eight during his last season. Early years Monson is the son of college basketball coach Don Monson, and spent most of his early years in eastern Washington, where his father was a successful high school head coach in Cheney and Pasco for 18 seasons. VCU Rams Men's Basketball
The VCU Rams men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. The Rams joined the Atlantic 10 Conference in the 2012–13 season after previously competing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In 2017, VCU was ranked the 40th most valuable men's basketball program in the country by ''The Wall Street Journal''. Athlete Institute
The Athlete Institute is an athletic centre located in Mono, Ontario. It is made up of three facilities, the training centre, residence and the fieldhouse. The Institute is home to The Orangeville Prep Basketball Academy, who compete in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA). Orangeville District Secondary School provides academic instruction for the institute's students. As well as home to By Design Learning Centre, CrossFit Orangeville, Purple Owl Pilates and Athlete Institute Football Club. The Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represents Stanford University in Stanford, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
