2023–24 Illawarra Hawks Season
The 2023–24 Illawarra Hawks season was the 46th season of the franchise in the National Basketball League (NBL). On 13 May 2023, the Hawks have picked up Jacob Jackomas’s second year team option. On 14 November 2023, Jacob Jackomas was released as Hawks' head coach after the team started the season with a 2–7 record and was replaced by Justin Tatum on an interim basis. On 22 February 2024, prior to the Hawks' playoff campaign, Tatum signed a three-year deal with Illawarra to continue as permanent head coach. Lee Hyun-jung (basketball)
Lee Hyun-jung (born October 23, 2000) is a South Korean professional basketball player for the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). Early life and career Lee attended Samil Commercial School in Suwon, where he played basketball under the coaching of his father. In middle school, Lee was only and played as a guard, as he practiced dribbling and mid-range shooting. By the end of his middle school years, Lee grew to over . The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is located on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. The venue was opened on 29 June 2004 at a cost of A$167 million. Beaton Park Stadium
Beaton Park Stadium is an Australian basketball centre in Gwynneville, New South Wales. It was the home of National Basketball League side Illawarra Hawks between 1979 and 1998, and is the home to local basketball in Wollongong. It was nicknamed "The Snake Pit" during its time with the Illawarra/Wollongong Hawks. Lachlan Olbrich (born 30 December 2003) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 2022, he was named in the NBL1 Central All-Star Five playing for the Southern Tigers. Mason Peatling (born 31 March 1997) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Dandenong Rangers of the NBL1 South. He is also contracted with the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Eastern Washington Eagles.
