2023–24 FK Željezničar Season
The 2023–24 season was Željezničar's 103rd in existence and their 24th season in the Bosnian Premier League. Besides competing in the domestic league, the team also competed in the National Cup. Željezničar competed in the qualifications for the UEFA Europa Conference League as well. The club finished in sixth place, while it got knocked out from the cup in the round of 32. Željezničar were eliminated from the Europa Conference League in the second qualifying round. Season review June On 12 June, Željezničar and its manager Nermin Bašić negotiated a two-year contract extension lasting until June 2025, with an option to stay at the club until at least 2026. On 14 June, Željezničar and Aleksandar Kosorić negotiated a one-year contract extension lasting until June 2024. The 2022–23 season was Željezničar's 102nd in existence and their 23rd season in the Premier League BH. Besides competing in the domestic league, the team also competed in the National Cup. The club finished in 3rd place in the league, qualifying for the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round. Željezničar got knocked out from the cup in the semi-finals. Omar Beća (born 1 January 2002) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina club Radnik Hadžići. Aleksandar Boljević (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Бољевић; born 12 December 1995) is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a winger for Bosnian Premier League club Željezničar. Edin Rustemović (born 6 January 1993) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Rustemović started his career at Drina Zvornik where in January 2012 he got awarded among the 10 best sports people from the town of Zvornik for the year 2011. He made his debut in the 2010–11 Bosnian Premier League season with Drina. Dženan Haračić (born 30 July 1994) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward. Career Dženan Haračić was born on July 30, 1994, in Bugojno. Edin Cocalić (; born 5 December 1987) is a Bosnian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Cocalić began his professional career at Željezničar, before joining Panionios in 2010.
