2023–24 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2023–24 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS), was the 45th FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 27th season in ski flying, and the 13th season for women. The men's season started on 25 November 2023 in Kuusamo, Ruka, Finland and concluded on 24 March 2024 in Planica, Slovenia. The women's season started on 2 December 2023 in Lillehammer, Norway and concluded on 21 March 2024, also in Planica. The men's season took a break in January due to the FIS Ski Flying World Championships, Ski Flying Championships in Bad Mitterndorf. Halvor Egner Granerud (men's) and Eva Pinkelnig (women's) were the reigning champions from the 2022–23 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, previous season, but they did not defend the title. Granerud finished the season in 24th place and Pinkelnig in 2nd place. Stefan Kraft (men's) and Nika Prevc (women's) became the new overall champions. Season overview For the first time since t ... Skalite (ski Jumping Hill)
Skocznia Skalite im. Beskidzkich Olimpijczyków (''Beskid Olympians Skalite Ski Jumping Hill'') is a complex of three Polish ski jumping hills located in Szczyrk – on the northern slope of the Skalite mountain (864 m), at an altitude of 620 m. Noriaki Kasai
is a Japanese ski jumper. His career achievements include a gold medal at the 1992 Ski Flying World Championships, winning the 1999 Nordic Tournament, individual silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and two individual bronze medals at the 2003 Ski Jumping World Championships. During his career, Kasai has broken numerous ski jumping records. In 2016, he was honoured with two ''Guinness World Records'' certificates for the most individual World Cup starts, not only in ski jumping, but in all World Cup disciplines organized by the International Ski Federation. At World Cup level, Kasai competed for a total of 34 seasons between 1988–89 and 2024–25. Vikersund is a town of 3,232 (in 2020) inhabitants in the municipality capital of Modum, in the county of Buskerud, Norway. Szczyrk
Szczyrk (; ; ) is a town in the Beskid Śląski mountains of southern Poland, situated in the valley of the Żylica river. It is part of the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously being part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship (1975–1998). Halvor Egner Granerud
Halvor Egner Granerud (born 29 May 1996) is a Norwegian ski jumper. He is one of the most successful contemporary ski jumpers, having won 25 World Cup individual competitions, the World Cup overall title twice, and the Four Hills Tournament once. At the Nordic World Ski Championships, Granerud's best achievements include silver medals in the team and mixed team competitions. He has also won team gold and individual silver at the Ski Flying World Championships. Career Granerud made his Ski Jumping World Cup debut in 2015 and got his best result to win the World Cup event in Kuusamo/Ruka in November 2020. Bad Mitterndorf
Bad Mitterndorf () is a town in Salzkammergut in the Austrian state of Styria. Situated between Salzburg and Graz, it is a popular winter sports resort and also as a location for walking and cycling in the summer.
