2023–24 Eredivisie (women)
The 2023–24 Eredivisie Vrouwen, known as Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie for sponsorship reasons, is the fourteenth season of the Netherlands women's professional football league. Twente won the league title. The season saw FC Utrecht rejoin the league, which expanded to 12 teams. Tessa Wullaert of Fortuna Sittard was the leading goal scorer and was named the . Lily Yohannes of Ajax received the Talent of the Year award. Format Each team played all other teams twice over 22 rounds. Unlike the previous two seasons, one team no longer had a bye each week, since the league had an even number of teams. Teams FC Utrecht joined the league after a 10-year absence, expanding the league to 12 teams. Additionally, AZ took the license of VV Alkmaar. 2023–24 Eredivisie
The 2023–24 Eredivisie was the 68th season of Eredivisie, the premier football competition in the Netherlands. It began on 11 August 2023 and concluded on 19 May 2024. PSV Eindhoven broke the record for most points in an Eredivisie season, with 91, overtaking Ajax's 89-point season in 1997–98. Since Netherlands ascended from seventh to sixth place in the UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2022–23 season, the three best-ranked teams could now qualify for the UEFA Champions League (the champions and runners-up entered directly into the league stage, and the third-placed team entered the third qualifying round). The KNVB Cup winner qualified for UEFA Europa League groups while the fourth-placed team qualified for UEFA Europa League second qualifying round and fifth through eighth-placed teams qualified to the European competition play-offs. SC Heerenveen (women)
SC Heerenveen Vrouwen is a Dutch women's football (soccer) club based in Heerenveen that competes in the Vrouwen Eredivisie, the top women's league in the Netherlands. Several of the top Dutch women footballers, including Lieke Martens, Vivianne Miedema, and Sherida Spitse, have played for the club. The club peaked in the league table with a third place finish in the 2017–18 season. Sittard
Sittard (; ) is a city in the Netherlands, situated in the southernmost province of Limburg. The town is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen and has almost 37,500 inhabitants in 2016. ADO Den Haag Stadium
The Bingoal Stadion is a multi-use stadium in The Hague, Netherlands, designed by Zwarts & Jansma Architects. Completed in 2007, the stadium is used mostly for football and field hockey.
