2023–24 Eastern Kentucky Colonels Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Eastern Kentucky Colonels men's basketball team represented Eastern Kentucky University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Colonels, led by sixth-year head coach A. W. Hamilton, played their home games at Baptist Health Arena in Richmond, Kentucky as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). Previous season The Colonels finished the 2022–23 season 19–12, 12–6 in ASUN play to finish in a third place tie. In the ASUN tournament, they were defeated by Liberty in the second round. The Colonels were runners up in the 2023 College Basketball Invitational, losing to Charlotte in the championship game. Alumni Coliseum
Alumni Coliseum and Baptist Health Arena are home to the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels in Richmond, Kentucky. History Alumni Coliseum houses the men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. The groundbreaking occurred on June 1, 1961. The arena was not finished until 1963 and the project took 626,276 board feet of lumber. While being built the Coliseum collapsed due to a cable malfunction. The collapse caused two workers to be injured and equipment being left under the rubble. The arena was originally named after Paul S. McBrayer. He was the head basketball coach from 1946 to 1962 and he had a record of 219–144. Trophy cases surrounding the concourse that hold trophies and memorabilia from former teams and players. The 2023–24 UT Martin Skyhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Tennessee at Martin during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Skyhawks, led by third-year head coach Ryan Ridder, played their home games at Skyhawk Arena located in Martin, Tennessee as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. Wilberforce University
Wilberforce University (WU) is a private university in Wilberforce, Ohio. It is one of three historically black universities established before the American Civil War. Founded in 1856 by the Methodist Episcopal Church (MEC), it is named after English statesman and abolitionist William Wilberforce. In 1863 it was sold to the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) which had ties to the school since its inception. WU remains affiliated with the AME. Beginning in 1887, WU operated as a partially state-funded and partially private institution. Stegeman Coliseum
Stegeman Coliseum, formerly known as Georgia Coliseum, is a 10,523-seat multi-purpose arena in Athens, Georgia, United States. The arena opened in 1964 in honor of Herman Stegeman. It is home to the University of Georgia Bulldogs basketball and gymnastics teams. It was also the venue of the rhythmic gymnastics and preliminary indoor volleyball matches during the 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as the 1989, 1995, and 2008 NCAA gymnastics championships. As a multi-purpose facility, the Coliseum also hosted a variety of other kinds of events, including many large indoor rock concerts during its early history, as well as the university's Graduate School commencement exercises. Brownsburg, Indiana
Brownsburg is a town in Hendricks County, Indiana, United States. In the 2020 census, the population was recorded as 28,973 residents. History Brownsburg was first settled in 1824 by James B. Brown. Delaware Indians lived in what is now called Lincoln Township, along White Lick Creek, which was then called "Wa-pe-ke-way" or "White Salt".
