The 2023–24 Columbus Blue Jackets season was the List of Columbus Blue Jackets seasons, 24th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997. In the off-season, on July 1, 2023, the Blue Jackets hired Mike Babcock as head coach. However, Babcock resigned after the conclusion of an investigation about improper behavior with players on September 17, and was replaced by Pascal Vincent. The National Hockey League's Metropolitan Division (often referred to simply as the "Metro Division") was formed in 2013 as one of the two divisions in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference as part of a league realignment. Malcolm-Jamaal Justin Subban ( ; born December 21, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently under contract with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League. Spencer Martin (born June 8, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for HC CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Jet Greaves (pronounced ; born March 30, 2001) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL).
