2023–24 Biathlon IBU Cup
The 2023–24 Biathlon IBU Cup was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union (IBU). It was the 16th edition for men and women of the second-rank international race series in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. The season started on 30 November 2023 in Kontiolahti, Finland and concluded on 9 March 2024 in Obertilliach, Austria. The highlight of the season was the 2024 IBU Open European Championships in Brezno-Osrblie, Slovakia. These competitions were also included in the rankings of the IBU Cup. Endre Strømsheim from Norway (men's) and Tilda Johansson from Sweden (women's) were the reigning champion from the previous season, but they didn't defend the title. Mats Øverby from Norway and Océane Michelon from France became the new overall champions. Biathlon European Championships
The Biathlon European Championships are the top-European competitions in biathlon. The first edition was held in 1994, with sprint, pursuit, individual and relay. The number of events has grown significantly over the years. Till 2015, the competitions included also junior events but since 2016 the Junior Championships are held separately. Participation of non-European competitors Even though the event is called European Championships, the event is not restricted to European athletes only. The full name of the competition is Open Biathlon European Championships, meaning that biathletes from non-European countries are eligible to participate and their results being recognised. Martell (; ) is a valley and ''comune'' (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is located in the Martell Valley of the long river Plima, about west of Bolzano. Sjusjøen
Sjusjøen is a cross country skiing destination in the municipality of Ringsaker in Innlandet county, Norway. Situated on the mountain plateau south of Sjusjøen is Hedmarksvidda. Idre
Idre is a locality and ski resort situated in Älvdalen Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden with 794 inhabitants in 2010. It was also a historical parish and former municipality.
