2023–24 Asian Le Mans Series
The 2023–24 Asian Le Mans Series was the twelfth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Asian Le Mans Series. It is the fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans-based series created by the ACO, following the American Le Mans Series (since merged with the Rolex Sports Car Series to form the United SportsCar Championship), the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship. The five-event season began at the Sepang International Circuit in Sepang on 2 December 2023 and concluded at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 11 February 2024. Calendar The calendar for the 2023–24 season was announced on the official website 9 June 2023. This Asian Le Mans Series season will return to Southeast Asia for the first time since the 2019–20 season. Automobile Club De L'Ouest
The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (English: Automobile Club of the West), sometimes abbreviated to ACO, is the largest automotive group in France. It was founded in 1906 by car building and racing enthusiasts, and is most famous for being the organising entity behind the annual Le Mans 24 Hours race. The ACO also lobbies on behalf of French drivers on such issues as road building and maintenance, the availability of driving schools and road safety classes, and the incorporation of technical innovations into new vehicles. Malthe Jakobsen
Malthe Jakobsen (born 29 October 2003) is a Danish racing driver. He is the 2022 European Le Mans Series champion in the LMP3 class with Cool Racing. Single-seater career 2018 Jakobsen began his car racing career in his homeland, competing for FSP in the 2018 F4 Danish Championship. Having initially struggled in the first half of the year, the Dane scored three category podiums and a pole position in the final third of the campaign, thus finishing sixth in the standings. Laurents Hörr (born 11 September 1997) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the European Le Mans Series. Career Lower formula Hörr began his open-wheel racing career in 2014, competing in a pair of races with Dutt Motorsport, a team he co-owned with Rolf and Oliver Dutt, in the Formula Renault 1.6 Northern European Cup. The following season, he scored his first open wheel victory at Anderstorp Raceway while competing in the Formula Renault 1.6 Nordic championship. Tom Dillmann (born 6 April 1989 in Mulhouse) is a French racing driver, formerly competing for Nio Formula E Team, in Formula E. He is probably best known for winning the German Formula Three Championship in the 2010 season and the Formula V8 3.5 Championship in the 2016 3.5 season. Oreca 07
The Oreca 07 is a Le Mans Prototype built by French manufacturer Oreca to meet the 2017 FIA and ACO LMP2 regulations. It made its official race debut in the opening round of the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the 24 Hours of Daytona, and its FIA World Endurance Championship debut at the 2017 6 Hours of Silverstone. DKR Engineering is a racing team and preparation firm from Luxembourg, which competed in the FIA GT1 World Championship. The company was founded in 2004 by Kendy Janclaes as a branch of the PSI Experience racing team from Belgium. After running PSI's racing programs, DKR began their own programs in 2008, running in the FFSA GT Championship with Corvettes.
