2023–24 Adelaide 36ers Season
The 2023–24 Adelaide 36ers season was the 43rd season of the franchise in the National Basketball League (NBL). On 6 December 2023, C. J. Bruton parted ways as 36ers' head coach after the team started the season with a 4–9 record and was replaced by Scott Ninnis on an interim basis. On 22 February 2024, Ninnis signed a two-year contract to continue as head coach. Sunday Dech
Sunday Dech (born 1 January 1994) is a South Sudanese-Australian professional basketball player for the Knox Raiders of the NBL1 South. He is also contracted with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). He is a two-time NBL champion with the Perth Wildcats, having won in 2014 and 2019. Dech played NCAA Division II college basketball for the Metro State Roadrunners and Barry Buccaneers. He spent a season with the Illawarra Hawks in 2019–20 before playing five seasons for the Adelaide 36ers between 2020 and 2025. Early life Dech was born in Gambela, Ethiopia, as one of seven children to South Sudanese parents Abraham Dech and Aret Ochala. His family are members of the Anuak tribe. Jamaal Franklin
Jamaal Eric Franklin (born July 21, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Franklin played college basketball for San Diego State, where he was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year as well as an All-American in his junior season. He was selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Memphis Grizzlies and spent two seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is located on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. The venue was opened on 29 June 2004 at a cost of A$167 million. Akech was a ruler in East Africa from 1760 until 1787. Akech was the second wife of Rwoth Nyabongo, ruler of the chiefdom of Paroketu. The royal line of succession had up until this point been patrilineal, and in due course Nyabongo would have been succeeded by Jobi, the eldest son of Akura, his senior wife. Akech, however, enjoyed a position in religious leadership, which augmented her royal standing, and she used this to consolidate her own power; consequently, by 1760 she had risen to get political prominence not only as the wife of the chief and as a ritual leader, but as mother of the successor to the throne. Isaac Bradley Humphries (born 5 January 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Adelaide 36ers of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball in the United States for the Kentucky Wildcats before making his professional debut in the NBL for the Sydney Kings in 2017. After two seasons in the NBA G League and making his NBA debut for the Atlanta Hawks in 2019, Humphries joined the Adelaide 36ers in 2020.
