2023 US Open – Women's Doubles
Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe defeated Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva in the final, 7–6(11–9), 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. Dabrowski became the first Canadian to win a women's doubles major title and Routliffe became the first New Zealander to win a US Open title. Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková were the defending champions, but lost in the second round to Barbora Strýcová and Markéta Vondroušová. Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula jointly attained the WTA No. 1 doubles ranking after Hsieh Su-wei lost in the semifinals. Siniaková, Elise Mertens, Taylor Townsend, and Desirae Krawczyk were also in contention for the top ranking at the beginning of the tournament. Gabriela "Gaby" Dabrowski (; , ; born April 1, 1992) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She reached her career-high doubles ranking of world No. 3 on 15 July 2024. A three-time Grand Slam champion, she won the 2023 US Open doubles title, partnering Erin Routliffe, and also the 2017 French Open mixed-doubles title, with Rohan Bopanna, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title, and the 2018 Australian Open with Mate Pavić. Taylor Townsend (born April 16, 1996) is an American professional tennis player. She has a WTA career-high doubles ranking of world No. 2, achieved on February 24, 2025 and a singles ranking of No. 46, achieved on August 19, 2024. Townsend won two major doubles titles, at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships and the 2025 Australian Open, both with Kateřina Siniaková. Jeļena "Aļona" Ostapenko (born 8 June 1997) is a Latvian professional tennis player. She has career-high rankings of world No. 5 in singles and No. 4 in doubles by the WTA.
