The 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final was a soccer match played on September 27, 2023, at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. It was contested by Inter Miami CF and Houston Dynamo FC to determine the winner of the 108th edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The tournament is the oldest cup competition in U.S. soccer, which is open to amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation. The Houston Dynamo won their second U.S. Open Cup title by defeating hosts Miami 2–1. Chase Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. Built on the site of the former Lockhart Stadium, the 21,550-seat stadium is the home pitch of Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer (MLS) and its MLS Next Pro reserve side Inter Miami CF II. Chase Stadium opened in 2020 as an interim venue for Inter Miami CF until the completion of the Miami Freedom Park stadium in 2026. Franco Negri
Franco Negri (born 20 February 1995) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a left-back or left midfielder for Major League Soccer club San Diego FC. Career Negri joined Primera División side San Lorenzo from hometown club San Martín in 2012. On 22 August 2016, fellow Primera División team Quilmes completed the loan signing of Negri. His professional career debut arrived on 22 October as they beat Lanús 1–0 at the Estadio Centenario Ciudad de Quilmes.
