Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Danielle Collins and CoCo Vandeweghe in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the doubles title at the 2023 San Diego Open. By winning the title, Siniaková reclaimed the WTA No. 1 doubles ranking from Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. Gauff and Pegula were the reigning champions, but chose not to defend their title. Caroline Dolehide ( ; born September 5, 1998) is an American professional tennis player. She achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 41 on 2 October 2023 and a doubles ranking of No. 9 on 26 August 2024. Dolehide has won two WTA Tour and one WTA 125 doubles titles, and also 17 titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, eight in singles and nine in doubles. Bethanie Mattek-Sands ( Bethanie Lynn Mattek; born March 23, 1985) is an American professional tennis player. She has won nine Grand Slam titles (five in women's doubles and four in mixed doubles), and an Olympic gold medal, and is a former world No. 1 in doubles.
