The 2023 FIM Moto2 World Championship was part of the 75th Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Road racing, Road Racing World Championship season. Pedro Acosta (motorcyclist), Pedro Acosta won the championship with two races to spare after finishing second at the 2023 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix, Malaysian round in Sepang, riding for Ajo Motorsport, Red Bull KTM Ajo. Teams and riders All teams used series-specified Dunlop Tyres, Dunlop tyres and Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, Triumph 765cc Straight-three engine, 3-cylinder engines. The International Motorcycling Federation (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) or (FIM) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 123 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six continental unions. Forward Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the Moto2 World Championship, MotoE World Championship and WorldWCR. History The team started competing in the MotoGP class as the Hayate Racing Team, a scaled down version of the Kawasaki factory team that withdrew from MotoGP for the championship due to the Great Recession. The team took its name from the Japanese word ''Hayate'' meaning hurricane. The team ran one Kawasaki ZX-RR motorcycle that was ridden by Marco Melandri. Kawasaki stopped developing new parts for the motorbike in March 2009, meaning Kawasaki's involvement was limited to servicing and maintaining the motorcycle for the rest of the 2009 season. Carlos Tatay
Carlos Tatay (born 7 May 2003) is a Spanish former Motorcycle racing, motorcycle rider who last competed in the 2023 FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship for the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team. He previously competed in the Moto3 class in the Grand Prix motorcycle racing, motorcycle world championship with Prüstel GP and is also a previous winner of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, having won the title in 2019 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, 2019. In July 2023, Tatay suffered multiple injuries, including Spinal cord injury, spinal cord damage, in a serious crash at the Algarve International Circuit. Rory Skinner
Rory Skinner (born 27 September 2001) is a British motorcycle racer from Perth, Scotland, competing in the 2024 British Superbike Championship with TAS Racing. He is best known for winning the 2020 British Supersport Championship. Skinner had a broken 2024 season, suffering crash injuries in May and again in July. Skinner was the inaugural champion of the British Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing series for young riders. He is a former race winner in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, as well as the 2014 Dunlop Aprilia Superteens Champion and a multiple mini-moto champion. Marcos Ramírez Fernández (born 16 December 1997) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for American Racing in the 2025 Moto2 World Championship. Sean Dylan Kelly (born May 17, 2002) is an American motorcycle racer racing for TopPro Racing in the 2024 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. He previously competed in the AMA Supersport Championship with the M4 Ecstar Suzuki team, having won the championship in 2021, and later had a two-year stint in Europe, racing 34 times in the Moto2 class.
