The 2023 Denmark Open (officially known as the Victor Denmark Open 2023 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament that took place at the Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark, from 17 to 22 October 2023 and had a total prize of US$850,000. Tournament The 2023 Denmark Open was the twenty-fifth tournament according to the 2023 BWF World Tour. It was a part of the Denmark Open, which had been held since 1935. This tournament was organized by Badminton Denmark with sanction from the Badminton World Federation, BWF. Venue This tournament was held at the Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark. Arena Fyn
Arena Fyn, officially known as the Jyske Bank Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a sports and concert arena in the southeastern part of the Denmark, Danish city of Odense. It has an area of and can accommodate 4,000 spectators at sporting events and 5,500 at concerts, where the floor is used. Construction The agreement about the construction of Arena Fyn was made in autumn 2005 and by March 2007 the arena was finished. The price of building was 90 million Danish kroner. Use The Scottish band Travis (band), Travis had a concert in the arena in the October 2007. It is also used for sports, including the Danish Open (tennis), Nordea Danish Open. BWF World Tour Super 750
The BWF World Tour is a Badminton World Federation#Grade 2, Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018 BWF World Tour schedule, 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour). One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 level, also offers ranking points. Chou Tien-chen (; born 8 January 1990) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. Julien Carraggi (born 2 July 2000) is a Belgian badminton player. Carraggi participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, helping the team Theta to win the bronze medal in the mixed team event. Lee Cheuk Yiu (; born 28 August 1996) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He won the silver medal at the 2013 Asian Youth Games and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Junior Championships. Career Lee reached the final of the 2019 Hong Kong Open, after quarter- and semi-final wins against former world champion Viktor Axelsen and former world number one Srikanth Kidambi respectively.
