The 2023 Atlanta Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 35th edition of the tournament, and was part of the 2023 ATP Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Ugo Humbert (; born 26 June 1998) is a French professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 13, achieved on 15 April 2024 and a doubles ranking of No. 348, achieved on 26 August 2024. Humbert has won seven ATP Tour singles titles, and was runner-up at a Masters 1000 event at the 2024 Paris Masters. He also holds nine Challenger singles titles. Alexander Stanislavovich Bublik (; born 17 June 1997) is a Russian-born Kazakhstani professional tennis player. He has a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of world No. 17, achieved on 6 May 2024 and a doubles ranking of No. 47, achieved on 8 November 2021. Nuno Borges (; born 19 February 1997) is a Portuguese professional tennis player. Borges has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 30, achieved on 9 September 2024 and a doubles ranking of No. 69, achieved on 19 September 2022. Shang Juncheng (; also known as Jerry Shang; born 2 February 2005) is a Chinese professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 47 on 21 October 2024. John Isner
John Robert Isner (born April 26, 1985) is an American former professional tennis player. Kei Nishikori
is a Japanese professional tennis player. He is the only Japanese man in the Open Era to have been ranked in the top five in singles, reaching his career-high ranking of world No. 4 in March 2015, and the second man in history to do so after Jiro Sato.
