2023 Asian Tour
The 2023 Asian Tour was the 28th season of the modern Asian Tour (formerly the Asian PGA Tour), the main professional golf tour in Asia (outside of Japan) since it was established in 1995. Changes for 2023 New tournaments for the 2023 season included the International Series Oman, the International Series Qatar, the World City Championship in Hong Kong, the International Series Vietnam and the St Andrews Bay Championship played at Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland (the first Asian Tour event to be staged in Scotland). The SJM Macao Open also returned to the schedule for the first time since 2017. Two events from the 2020–22 Asian Development Tour schedule were upgraded to events on the 2023 Asian Tour schedule. Andy Ogletree
Andrew Ogletree (born April 3, 1998) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LIV Golf League and hails from Union, Mississippi. He won the 2019 U.S. Amateur. Amateur career Ogletree attended Union High School in Union, Mississippi, leading his team to the Mississippi state championship in 2016. He also won the individual state championship that year. In 2015 he reached the quarter-finals of the U.S. Junior Amateur and qualified for the U.S. Amateur for the first time. Ogletree began attending Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Georgia Tech in 2016. In 2019, his senior year, he won the Monroe Invitational by two shots with a score of 279 (−1). Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2025, 24 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Wade Ormsby
Wade Ormsby (born 31 March 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour. He also played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series. Career Ormsby was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He attended the University of Houston in the United States for three years before turning professional in 2001. Ormsby began his professional career in his home country, on the PGA Tour of Australasia, while also trying to play in Europe. He played his first full season on the European Tour in 2004, having earned his place via qualifying school at the end of 2003. He finished 112th on the Order of Merit in his first season to retain playing rights, and improved to 71st in 2005. The International Series is a series of men's professional golf tournaments played internationally, as part of the Asian Tour. History The series was unveiled in February 2022. It was confirmed that 10 events will be added alongside the Asian Tour schedule for the next 10 years, with each event featuring prize funds between and . The investment was backed by LIV Golf. The first event was played in March 2022 with the International Series Thailand. American Sihwan Kim won his first Asian Tour event shooting 26-under-par, beating Phachara Khongwatmai by two shots. Brendan Jones (golfer)
Brendan Mark Jones (born 3 March 1975) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the Japan Golf Tour, where he has won 15 times between 2002 and 2019. Amateur career Jones has a successful amateur career. He was part of the Australian team that took silver medal in the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy and he won the Australian Amateur in 1999, beating Mahal Pearce 2&1 in the final. Professional career Jones turned professional in 1999. He played two tournaments on the 2000 Japan Golf Tour and has played regularly on the tour since 2001. New Zealand Open
The New Zealand Open is the premier men's golf tournament in New Zealand. It has been a regular fixture on the PGA Tour of Australasia tournament schedule since the 1970s. The 2019 event was the 100th edition of the tournament. Since 2014 it has been held as a pro-am in February or March. Prize money for the 2020 event was NZ$1.4 million, with an additional NZ$50,000 for the pro-am; the tournament winner received NZ$252,000. Takumi Kanaya (, born 23 May 1998) is a Japanese professional golfer. He had an exceptionally successful amateur career and was world ranked number 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks. He also won a professional event on the 2019 Japan Golf Tour while still an amateur. Amateur career Kanaya had a successful amateur career, winning the 2015 Japan Amateur Championship and the 2018 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. Abraham Ancer (; born 27 February 1991) is a Mexican-American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and is currently playing on the LIV Golf tour. The Saudi International, currently titled as the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers for sponsorship reasons, is a professional golf tournament. It was held at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, from 2019 until 2023. The tournament moved to Riyadh Golf Club for the 2024 edition. The tournament has been title sponsored by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), a Saudi government sovereign wealth fund since 2022. Korean Tour
The Korean Tour is a men's professional golf tour run by the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) of South Korea. In 2011, it had total prize money of about United States dollar, US$14 million. Professional golf in Korea dates back to the mid 20th century.
