2022–23 Vijay Hazare Trophy
The 2022–23 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 21st season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A cricket tournament in India. It was played from 12 November to 2 December 2022. Himachal Pradesh were the defending champions. Saurashtra won the final match against Maharashtra by 5 wickets to clinch their second domestic title. A total of 38 teams featured in five Elite groups. The group toppers progressed to the quarterfinals, while the second-placed sides and the best among the rest advanced to the pre-quarterfinals. The tournament was played in six cities across the country which are Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi, with all the knockout matches played in Ahmedabad. On 21 November, Tamil Nadu's Narayan Jagadeesan set the highest-ever individual List A score with his 277 from 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh, breaking the previous record of 268 by Ali Brown. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India. Its headquarters are situated at Cricket centre, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The BCCI is the richest governing body of cricket in the world and is part of the ''Big Three'' of international cricket, along with Cricket Australia and the England and Wales Cricket Board. The Assam cricket team is a domestic cricket team represents the Indian state of Assam, run by the Assam Cricket Association. They compete and represent the state annually in the first-class Ranji Trophy tournament, limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament and the Twenty20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Punjab Cricket Team (India)
The Punjab cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents the Indian state of Punjab. They have qualified for only one Ranji Trophy semi-final in the last five seasons and made it to the final in the 2004–05 tournament, where they lost to Railways in the first innings. Kerala Cricket Team
The Kerala cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Kerala. It is in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first class cricket tournament in India. It was known as Travancore-Cochin cricket team until 1957/58. Kerala has produced two Indian Test cricketers, Tinu Yohannan and S. Sreesanth. Sanju Samson has represented India in T20Is and ODIs, while Basil Thampi has a national call-up to his name.
