2022–23 TFF Second League
The 2022–23 TFF Second League was the 22nd season of the third-level football league of Turkey since the league was established in 2001. Teams *Bodrumspor, Pendikspor and Sakaryaspor promoted to 2022–23 TFF First League. *Balıkesirspor, Bursaspor, Kocaelispor and Menemenspor relegated from 2021–22 TFF First League. *Arnavutköy Belediyespor, Batman Petrolspor, Düzcespor, Esenler Erokspor, Fethiyespor and İskenderunspor promoted from 2021–22 TFF Third League. * 1922 Konyaspor, Akhisar Belediyespor, Ergene Velimeşe, Eskişehirspor, Kahramanmaraşspor, Niğde Anadolu and Turgutluspor relegated to 2022–23 TFF Third League. The Turkish Football Federation (; TFF) is the governing body of association football in Turkey. It was formed on 23 April 1923, and joined FIFA the same year and UEFA in 1962. Pendikspor
Pendikspor is a Turkish sports club based in Pendik, Istanbul. The club's homeground is the ''Pendik Stadium''. History Pendikspor's best known football section, with a history dating back to 1927, continued its activities without being subject to official procedures until 1950. The club competed in the Istanbul amateur leagues until the 1982–83 season. With the establishment of the 3rd League in 1984, the club gained professional status and remained in the TFF Third League until the 1992–93 season. After being relegated to amateur status that season, the team returned to the TFF Third League the following year. In the 1997–98 season, the club became champions of the TFF Third League and were promoted to the TFF Second League. İskenderun (), historically known as Alexandretta (, ) and Scanderoon, is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 247 km2, and its population is 251,682 (2022). It is on the Mediterranean coast. Located on an alluvial plain, the city was heavily damaged by powerful earthquakes in February 2023 and subsequent aftershocks, floods and fires. The city's history dates back to 333 BC, when it was founded by Alexander the Great as Alexandretta. It subsequently fell under Seleucid rule before being conquered by the Romans. Fethiyespor
Fethiyespor is a Turkish sports club based in Fethiye, Muğla. Fethiyespor were promoted to the Turkish Second Division in the 2005–06 season. In the 2011–12 football season, Fethiyespor reached the end of season promotion play-off games but lost their final match. Fethiyespor were promoted to TFF League One after play-off games which concluded on 31 May 2013. On 4 December 2013, Fethiyespor recorded perhaps the best result in their history when they knocked Fenerbahçe out of the Turkish Cup at Fenerbahçe's Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium. Fenerbahçe were at the time were comfortable leaders of the Süper Lig. Düzcespor
Düzcespor is a Turkish football club located in Düzce, Turkey. The club colors are red-navy blue. History The club was founded in 1967 and the first chairman was Atıf Bilginen. Former Fenerbahçe Chairman Aziz Yıldırım is the honorary chairman of Düzcespor. The club had tough times after the 1999 İzmit earthquake and the 1999 Düzce earthquake that hit the city. Arnavutköy ( 'Albanian village'; ) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Beşiktaş, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 3,574 (2022).
