Sydney FC (women)
Sydney Football Club is an Australian professional women's association football club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. They compete in the A-League Women, the top tier of women's soccer in Australia. History Establishment The formation of the W-League in October 2008 saw the league composed of eight teams. Seven of the eight clubs were directly affiliated with the A-League clubs, Sydney FC being one. The women's team shares the men's club name and colours. Inaugural season The inaugural W-League season was played over 10 rounds, followed by a finals series. During Sydney's season opener, the squad defeated Perth Glory 4–0 with a brace scored by Leena Khamis and two goals from Danielle Small and Heather Garriock. Kirsty Fenton
Kirsty Jane Fenton (born 6 September 2003) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for A-League Women club Sydney FC. Early life Fenton grew up in Toronto, New South Wales and attended Hunter Sports High School in Gateshead. She was a member of the Newcastle Jets Academy from the age of 13. Club career Newcastle Jets After featuring for the various Newcastle Jets Youth teams for all of her teenage years Fenton was rewarded with a contract to the first team ahead of the 2021–22 season. Fenton made her A-League Women debut for the Jets on Matchday One as she started at left back in the absence of the injured Gema Simon. Princess Ibini-Isei
Princess Megan Ategbayon Ibini-Isei (born 31 January 2000), known as Princess Ibini, is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Sydney FC. Early life Ibini was born in Sydney to Nigerian migrant parents Ibi and Juliana. Her father died suddenly in 2013. She is the younger sister of Australia national soccer team player Bernie Ibini-Isei who last played for Lion City Sailors. Deborah-Anne de la Harpe (born 5 April 2000) is a footballer who plays for A-League Women club Brisbane Roar. She has previously played for A-League Women clubs Perth Glory and Sydney FC and for Danish Women's League club HB Køge. She has represented Australia (where she was born) and the Republic of Ireland at under-19 and senior levels, respectively.
