The 2022–23 Los Angeles Clippers season was the 53rd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), their 45th season in Southern California and their 39th season in Los Angeles. Despite improving from last season and reaching the playoffs, they failed to get past the first round due to a number of injuries. Tyronn Lue
Tyronn Jamar Lue ( ; born May 3, 1977) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He formerly served as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, helping them win their first and only NBA title. A former point guard, Lue played college basketball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers before being selected by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 1998 NBA draft with the 23rd overall pick. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers shortly thereafter. As a member of the Lakers, Lue won two NBA championships in his first three seasons. James Joseph Larranaga Jr. (born January 30, 1975) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who currently serves on the staff of the Los Angeles Clippers. He was previously the top assistant coach for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is also the son of University of Miami men's basketball coach Jim Larrañaga. 2022–23 Minnesota Timberwolves Season
The 2022–23 Minnesota Timberwolves season was the 34th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Timberwolves failed to improve on their 46–36 record from last year after losing to the Toronto Raptors 107–122 on March 18, but they were able to finish with a winning record in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2004 and 2005 after beating the New Orleans Pelicans 113–108 on April 9 and participated in the play-in tournament for a second straight season. Despite losing to the Los Angeles Lakers 102–108 on April 11, they would beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 120–95 at home to clinch a playoff spot on April 14. Xavier Moon
Xavier Moon (born January 2, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for Northwest Florida State and Morehead State. The nephew of former NBA basketball player Jamario Moon, he won CEBL Player of the Year three years in a row from 2019 to 2021 while playing for the Edmonton Stingers. High school career Moon grew up in Goodwater, Alabama and began playing organized basketball in seventh grade. He played college basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The 2022–23 Portland Trail Blazers season was the 53rd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On March 31, 2023, the Trail Blazers were eliminated from play-in/playoff contention for the second consecutive season following the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is located north of downtown Seattle in the entertainment complex known as the Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World's Fair, for which it was originally developed.
