The 2022–23 season was the annual competitive association football season in Gozo organised by the Gozo Football Association for 2022–23. Overview During the 2022-23 football season, the Gozo national football team participated in the 2023 Island Games. As for domestic club football, 14 Gozitan clubs participated in the 2022–23 Gozitan football season, with 8 playing in Gozo Football League First Division, First Division, the top division in Gozo, and the remaining six in the Gozo Football League Second Division, Second Division. The Gozo Football Association also held a number of cup competitions, namely: * the G.F.A. The 2022–23 Maltese FA Trophy, officially named IZIBET FA Trophy due to sponsorship reasons, is the 85th edition of the football cup competition, the FA Trophy. The winners of the Maltese FA Trophy will earn a place in the first qualifying round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. The first round of games started on 15 November 2022. The Saint Helena football team represents the island of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean. Qrendi () is a village in the Western Region of Malta, with a population of 3,148 people as of October 2021. It is located close to Mqabba, Żurrieq and Siġġiewi. Within its boundaries are the two Neolithic temples of Mnajdra and Ħaġar Qim. Għajnsielem (; meaning "Spring of Sielem") is a municipality on the southeastern coast of the island of Gozo in Malta, including the entire island of Comino. It has a population of 3,200 residents (as of March 2014), and is the first Gozitan village that greets the visitor on leaving Mġarr Harbour towards the Gozitan heartland.
